"Don't play with fire" my mother was forever telling me as a child, but I clearly didn't listen as an adult! I love the look and even the feel of the heat when you perform with fire. The familiar distinctive sound of it whooshing around you as you spin and twirl various lit equipment as you dance with the flames. There is something so mesmerizing about fire performance and perhaps along with the added danger instinctively felt by the audience, which makes this performance art so appealing. 

I first danced with fire at the London Hippodrome at the very start of my circus performance career and since then have had a myriad of fire appearances across many countries.
